Wedding vows
Wedding vows
When it comes to wedding vows, a lot more
people are choosing to write their own. Some couples find
it very easy, some don’t. For those of you who are opting
to write your own vows, but are having a few problems, I
offer you the following tips.
Take their hands and look at their
face. Look into your partners’ eyes, take their
hands. Definitely don’t look at your feet, no matter how
nervous you may be. This is a special time for you both, so
make it romantic. Looking into her eyes will link her to you.
Taking his hands will make you forget about your feet. So take
a few breaths, don’t think about your butterflies and just let
your feelings flow.
Tell your partner why they are so special to
you.
Speak truthfully about why you love them. You can even throw in
a poem if it suits you to do so. This is a time neither of you
will forget, so don’t mumble. Speak clearly and be yourself. If
it is his bad hair that you love so much, say so. Don’t lie on
your wedding day; you have the rest of your lives to do that.
I'm kidding. Just speak your mind, tell her you love her. Say
what’s in your heart, because that is what your partner loves
most about you. Your heart
Make them a promise.
Now even if you don’t promise to always be home at 7pm sharp
for her dinner. Or that you will always wash the car for him,
after he has been fishing. Promise to be there for them in days
to come, or promise to be their friend and lover. Throw in that
you will be there through thick and thin. It doesn’t matter how
you say it. You are at that alter to love and cherish your
partner, till death do you part. So put it in your own words.
Show them that you are secure and that you aren’t going to bolt
at the first sign of stormy seas.
No matter how your life has been, the day you get married is a
new start. Be romantic, be confident. After all, you are
already past the hard part. You just have to enjoy the day,
enjoy it as a couple.
With these three tips you shouldn’t go wrong. At least it will
be hard to stuff up immensely. Make a happy memorable moment
you both van cherish for the rest of your lives together.
